The last couple of months have blown by so fast! We have had such a great time even though nothing too big and important has happened. The boys are getting so big. Braxton has been learning to ride his big boy bike. It is his favorite activity, and one that Curt and I have loved to watch him learn. Cayden is doing well also. He is finally starting to talk a little more, and it is fun to see him learn so much. It has been a long road so far, but we are encouraged by his recent interest in learning.

Curt and I were able to get away in March and went down to Zions for a weekend. It was the first time I was able to go down there, and I loved the beauty of it. We are looking forward to starting soccer again this week, and have that outlet from our normal life. We are all looking forward to a fun summer, with a couple trips planned. We hope everyone is doing well!

The holidays are over!!! We had a great Christmas in Seattle. It was a much needed break for everyone. The boys loved spending time with their grandma and grandpa as well as their cousins! Curt enjoyed not having school or work, and I enjoyed being able to pawn my kids off whenever I wanted! Curt and I even made it out on a few dates! We also learned that with the right show Cayden isn't a complete nightmare on the airplane. Braxton was super excited when Santa remembered to visit him at grandma and grandpa's. He even remembered to bring the firetruck that he asked for.

Of course we have started back in the swing of things. Curt is half way through his classes for this block and we look forward to the end. This is the last block that he will have to take two classes at once which will be nice. We feel like we are finally able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Cayden is getting pretty big. He is even in the 30% for his weight, go Cayden! We are still waiting for him to start walking. He loves to walk around on his knees, but anything else is like pulling teeth. I never knew a one year old could be so stubborn! If anyone has a suggestion for feeding a picky eater please let me know!

Braxton is now three!!! I can hardly believe it! He is so smart and so strong headed. He knows all his letters, he knows how to spell his name, he knows mom, dad, cat, dog, and a couple other words, about 3 weeks ago he even asked me to teach him how to read. So now I have to try to figure out how to teach a three year old to read. Lucky me! We had a friends party for Braxton that he loved! We gave him a superhero themed party. We got him a new bed with superhero bedding, which he thinks is the coolest thing ever. The first night he slept in the bed we asked if he wanted his "holey blanky" but he wanted nothing to do with it. It is so much fun to see how much he is learning and growing.

So Cayden is now one.... I can hardly believe all that has happened in the last year. I put together a photo album for his birthday, and it amazes me how he went from such a sick little baby to a very strong willed little guy. We feel so blessed in our lives, and know that it is through our faith in the Lord that we have so many wonderful blessings.
It seems like the last few months have been a total blur. It seems like Curt is either working, at school, or doing homework 24/7. He is working so hard, but he is finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have used the time that he is working to start training to do a mini triathlon next spring. Not to mention that it is nice to have some time without the kids on the days that they don't see Curt.
We had a lot of fun for Halloween. I decided to put together the costumes by myself... we will see if I ever do it again. We dressed up as the Incredibles. Braxton loved being Dash, and loved showing just how fast he could run. This was the first year he really went out trick-or-treating, and loved it!
We are looking forward to a less stressful holiday season this year, and are getting excited to be with family and friends. We will be in Seattle for Christmas this year, and are excited for the boys to spend some more time there. We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

Why is it that the summer always goes way too fast, and the winter way too slow? There have been so many fun things to do this summer that we have hardly had time to do the things that we really need to do, like the bathroom in our basement. Who would have thought it would be this much harder to go places with two kids, rather than with just one? We did just get back from Texas though, and had a blast!
Thanks to Kimi, or should I say Kimi's boss, we had an amazing set up! We stayed at a lake house that had more than enough beds for Curt's entire family. With 3 kitchens, 6-7 bathrooms, and a huge game room there was plenty of space for everyone. We were able to go to Sea World, and Six Flags as well. It was a blast, and Braxton is still talking about the "special house". Even Cayden did pretty well considering we were in 100 degree plus weather the whole time. One thing we learned though is that from now on we will not even consider anything but a non-stop flight.
We are now looking forward to going up to Seattle in a week and a half to visit my family. We will see most of my extended family, which is a rare event. None of them have met Cayden so I look forward to showing him off.
Cayden is doing pretty well, although we just had to increase his medication for acid reflux. After doing that he started sleeping more, so thankfully I am finally able to start catching up from the last nine months.
Braxton has started potty training, and is testing my patience. We have tried just about everything to get his to go #2, but are running out of ideas.... so any suggestions would be great!
Curt is working hard both at work and at school. Thankfully he is going at a slower pace, but I think he could use some more time to do homework without kids.
I am basically doing the same old thing. Greg and Sara will be moving soon though which means I only have about another month of watching Lizzie. So now comes the part of looking for someone new. I know that Braxton will miss her, and so a replacement would be good for him. But just as everything else has, I am sure that this will work out also.

Hi there everyone! Things have been so crazy lately I can hardly believe it. The time is going by so fast, I can hardly believe that Cayden is already 7 months old. He is getting bigger, although he still looks pretty small compared to the other babies his age in our ward. We are still waiting for him to decide he wants to move around.... we are convinced that he is just lazy. Although he has rolled over he will not do it on a regular basis, and when I put him on his stomach half the time he rolls right back to his stomach. He won't even sit up! But for the most part he is a happy baby. He still has acid reflux pretty bad, so needless to say we do a lot of laundry.

Braxton loves being a big brother.... last week when he came home from being with Grandma and Grandpa he went right past me to Cayden. Thankfully he has adjusted well, and he is excited to be able to teach Cayden everything he knows. Braxton is thrilled now that the weather is nice he can be outside most the time. I can't say that it bothers me much either. I swear that he has a growth spurt almost every other week. although he is only 2 a lot of his 3T shirts are now bellie shirts on him.... how are we supposed to afford this?!?!?! Its a good thing we love him so much.

Curt will take his big test at work on Tuesday. He has spent a lot of time, energy, and stress on it, so wish him luck! He isn't sure whether its fair that while he is off from school that he has to be studying so hard, but at the same time at least he doesn't have to worry about school at the same time.

I have been trying to stay sane at home with two 2 year olds.... how do people with twins do it?!?!?! One thing is for sure, I would love to have a maid (so would Curt)! I am having fun though, and wouldn't trade staying home with the kids for anything. We are so blessed that I am able to be home with them. Curt and I have been playing soccer a little bit, and have been enjoying that. Its nice to get a little exercise someplace other than the gym, and its nice to have some adult interaction once a week.

We are getting ready to go to Texas with Curt's family, and we are all ready for a vacation. Braxton especially can't wait to see everyone. All he can talk about is going to "exas" to see Kimi, Uncle Grant, Aunt "lissa", "vanna", and Mckayla.

It is hard to believe that Cayden is now 5 months old. I can hardly believe all that has happened in that time. He is finally starting to gain a little more weight, and we hope that he will soon start to roll-over, sit-up etc. He can definitely melt your heart with his big smile and cute giggle. We are now just waiting for Cayden to start sleeping through the night so that we can get some rest as well.

Braxton loves his brother, and takes care of Cayden so well. We are continually amazed with all that he is learning. He is now able to count to ten, sing most of the ABC's, and of course I am a child of God, Teach me to Walk in the light, and a couple of others. He continually is putting together more and more words to make sentences. Although he is learning so many great things, he is also learning to be a normal 2 year old. Any suggestions for dealing with the tantroms?

Theres not much new that is happenig with Curt and I. Curt is still getting his MBA, and I am still at home with Braxton, Cayden, and Lizzie. We are finishing the bathroom in our basement, which Curt is looking forward to... it has been a while since he has had a project. We are waiting for Spring to kick in so that we can start getting out of the house with Cayden.

Hello again! Well, Braxton is now officially 2 years old, and amazingly enough Cayden is 4 months. We made it through the holidays pretty well, but since then our house seems to have had a hard time staying healthy. We have found that Cayden's way of dealing with illness is that he stops eating. He got sick again this last week, and unfortunately lost half a pound, but he is now eating again, and hopefully he will find a way to start gaining the weight he needs.

We had the chance this last month to bless Cayden in our home. It was a great experience to have family here to support us. We feel so blessed, and know that Cayden has been blessed, and know that he has been a blessing to our family.

After the blessing I went up to Seattle with the boys for a week. It was great to see everyone, and Braxton loved being with his cousins. It was a great break for me, and Braxton loved always having the attention of "mama" and "bampa Owl".

We hope everyone is doing well, and as always I will try harder to keep this updated better.

Its hard to believe that Christmas is almost here. We are looking forward to the first Christmas with Cayden! Its amazing how fun it is to go shopping for two kids.

After another scare with Cayden we hope, and think that we are out of the woods. A week after he came home from NICU Cayden stopped eating. We had to force feed him every two hours with a bottle. He started losing weight for no appearant reason. After several blood tests, x-ray, EKG, ultrasound, and 24-hour heart monitor Cayden decided to start eating again. He began to gain weight quickly, and the difference ever since has been amazing!

Braxton has been doing surprisingly well with all the changes in the last month. He is so attentive and loving, he will never go to bed without kissing his brother goodnight. His vocabulary seems to be growig everyday, and he continues to crack Curt and I up with the things that he comes up with. Who knew that an almost two year old could make fun of their parents!

Curt received his first 4.0 this last semester! He is finding that it takes a little longer to get his studying done with two kids, but he somehow is doing a great job of balancing work, school, and family. I have starting watching Lizzie again, and am trying to get used to having 3 kids while being cooped up at home. Trust me, I even have started missing grocery shopping.

Cayden came home on November 8th! The doctor has been thrilled with the progress he has made; gaining an ounce a day he is acting like a normal 7 or 8 poundbaby rather than a 5 pound preemie.Of course since he has a smaller stomach he is waking up every 3-4 hours to eat, quite a difference from Braxton. He has inherited Curt's curly hair, and will be known in our house as curly Cayden.

Braxton is not sure what to think of him yet, but he is starting to understand that Cayden isn't going anywhere. As soon as he wants us to go and play he walks the crib and starts jabbering, there is no mistaking that he wants us to put Cayden down. My mom was here for two weeks wich helped ensure that he had more than enough attention during the transition. He is etting so big, and we can hardly believe all that he is learning.

Thank you to everyone who kept Cayden in their prayers. We feel so blessed in so many different ways. We are grateful to be able o live in a country and at a time with such great healthcare. We are grateful to know that we have a Heavenly Father who is watching over us. The ten days that Cayden was in the NICU we felt such love from Heavenly Father. We know that without him there is nothing, and we know that it is because of his mercy that Cayden is able to be with us today. Thank you again for all the thoughts and prayers, you will never know how much it meant to us.

Cayden James Daich was born on October 30th at 1:14 pm. He was so anxious to meet his new family that he came a little more than 4 weeks early. He is 5 pounds 5 ounces, and is extremely small. We were able to spend the first hour and a half with him before they took him to NICU. We figure he just wanted to go vist his friend Easton (Scott and Teisha's baby). He was having a little trouble breathing so they took him to give him some oxygen and run some tests. So far it appears that the tests came back showing no problems, but we are waiting to hear from the doctor. We will keep everyone updated as we find out more. Thanks for all the support!

Ok, so Kimi just pointed out to us just how bad we are at keeping this updated. So sorry to those who rely on this as a connection to our life. We had such a fun summer, and with the weather being so nice lately it is hard to believe that fall is here.
About a week ago we woke up to 4-5 inches of snow. Nothing beats Utah weather.... its 60 degrees one day, and snowing the next! We bundled Braxton up and took him outside to play. He loved it! He especially loved throwing snow balls and demolishig the snow man. It was so fun to be able to see him growing up, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life!
Braxton is getting so big and active. He loves to be able to jump, run, and do anything that helps to get his energy out. He is a handful, and there is never a dull moment. Now that I am about 8 months pregnant it makes it a little harder to keep up with him, but I try my best.
Curt has started his MBA, and although he wasn't very excited about it, he is enjoying the pace of the MBA program more than he did his bachelor's. I updated the pictures, and hope that you enjoy them. I promise that I will try harder to update the blog, especially when the baby comes.

Man, time flies!!! There seems to be so much that has happened since we last wrote that I hardly know where to start. First we have new photos, so make sure that you check them out!
For those who have not already heard, we are expecting our second baby boy. I am about 19 weeks along, and can hardly believe that I will soon be the mother of two. The due date is December 2nd, however they will most likely start me about 10 days early because of how fast my last labor was (I don't want to deliver from home). So he has a very good chance of being born on mine and my niece's birthday (Nov. 19), or my other niece's birthday (Nov. 22). We are very excited, and now just enjoying the time we have with just Braxton.
We went on our big vacation, and got back a week ago. It was so much fun!!! We only went to Sea World since I couldn't go on any of the rides anyways. We spent two days there and loved every minute. Braxton was great, and he loved watching all the animals. We were a little worried about the shows, but with the music and the animals jumping he loved it. From there we went on our cruise. We had a blast, and although it was extremely different cruising with a toddler, we were never bored. Braxton loved the beaches, and couldn't get enough of the sand and water. He almost always threw a fit when we left, unless of course he had fallen asleep. He did great considering the major change in his schedule.
We also found out this last week that Curt was accepted into the MBA program at Weber, which according to him is "horrible news". We are hoping that it will only be one or one and a half years since he did so many classes for his minor in business. He will start this fall, so we will have to get back in the school groove of not seeing each other very much. I know that he will really miss the time he would have to spend with Braxton and the new baby, and I know that they will miss him too, especially Braxton who loves the daddy play-time. However, I think, and I am trying to convince Curt that it will all be for the best in the end.
So, needless to say the summer has been busy, fun, and full of new experiences. Hope all is well with everyone, and would love to hear from you.

Hi everyone!!!! Well, the new year has started, Braxton had his first birthday, and things are crazier than ever! Its hard to believe that Braxton is almost 14 months old. He is walking all over, and getting into anything and everything he can.
We are planning his first big vacation for this summer! We are going to go to Florida and visit Sea World and Disney World before we leave for a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean. We are looking forward to it, and hoping that he will enjoy it.
We started a membership to a gym, and have really enjoyed starting to get back in shape (it was long overdue). We also have had a lot of fun taking Braxton swimming in the fun pool that they have there, he loves it!!!
I would also like to thank everyone who has helped with Braxton last week, for those who have kept my mom in their prayers, and for all the well wishes. My mom is doing better, and although the recovery is likely to be 2-3 months we feel very blessed that it wasn't worst than it was. I feel extremely lucky to have so many supportive family members and friends close by who were willing to help on such short notice. It was great to be up in Seattle with my mom and to know that my family was being taken care of.... thank you!
We finally deleted a bunch of the pictures on the website, so if you click on where it says "pictures, pictures, and more pictures" on the left you will be transfered to where we have new pictures uploaded. We hope everyone is doing well!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!! I can't believe that it is already Christmas time. We are really looking forward to Braxton's first Christmas. It is unbelievable all the changes that have happened in the last year! We feel so blessed! Its hard to believe that Braxton is now almost 1 year old.

Braxton is doing great! He is getting huge, and is constantly on the go. He is already a handful, I can't imagine him in his "terrible two's". He is trying to walk, but thankfully he hasn't gotten to that point yet, I'm not sure if I am ready for it. The only thing is that he has been struggling for 4 months with a yeast infection, so if anyone has any ideas....

Curt is enjoying his job, and enjoying being a dad even more! He will soon be transfering job sites, so he will be in Ogden rather than Tooele! He has installed a fireplace, layed tile, and built a mantel for me! It is beautiful! (Picture is up and coming). He is really enjoying not having to come home and do homework.... not sure how he will do when he goes back to school.

As for me, I am loving being able to stay at home! There is nothing better than being able to be there for every milestone your child makes. I am so glad that I have a loving husband who supports me, and makes it possible for me to stay home!

WOW!!!! Time sure does go by fast. Sorry that it has been so long since we have had an update on what we have been up to. Who knew that a 9 month old could be such a hand-full?!??! Braxton is getting to be so much fun. He is crawling all over the place, and learning how to get into trouble. He is pulling himself up on whatever he can, and trying to do chin-ups on anything that is just barely within his reach. He is even starting to walk along furniture, and do the "look mom, no hands!" We already know that he will be on the go nonstop from sun-up to sun-down.
We just got back from Seattle for my mom's 50th birthday, and that was a lot of fun. Braxton continues to do really well on flights, and we couldn't be happier about it. We were able to spend time with my brothers and their families which was nice. It was a short trip, but enjoyed.
Curt is still liking his job, and he feels like he is learning a lot. He drives a lot, but loves the time he has to listen to his books on tape. I think he has now moved on to Star Wars. So if anyone has a good suggestion let us know.
I am staying at home with Braxton, and tending our neighbor's little girl during the week. I feel so blessed to be able to be home. There is nothing better than being there while Braxton learns new things every single day.
We are excited to go to the trunk-or-treat tonight for Braxton's first time, I don't think I have ever seen such a cute dragon.

We have had a busy, exciting, and fun summer! Its amazing how life changes once you have a baby.... we never would have guessed. We have managed to get out and go camping and 4-wheeling some, and have thoroughly enjoyed it. This last week we bought a bike trailer for Braxton, so we are hoping to get some good bike rides in before the end of summer. We have ridden a couple of times, and he loves it! Its a good thing he likes being outside so much, it always seems to calm him down.
He is getting so big! He now has 4 teeth that have come through, and more that are getting ready (It has been an interesting month). He can sit up by himself, and he is starting to try to crawl. Its amazing how fast he learns. He is always trying to see what is going on, and take everything in that he can.
We have also decided NOT to move, and both Curt and I have a new found energy to put into our house. We didn't feel like it was the right thing for us to do so we decided to stay put and maybe even do some more work on our home. We are thinking of putting in a garden, so if anyone has any advise PLEASE let me know....
We are planning on going up to visit my family in Seattle next week, and look forward to the time with family. Be sure to check the new pictures we have put on the site!

Wow, how time flies!!! We have had a great summer so far. We have stayed busy, and taken advantage of the time that we have had. Braxton has been on his first two camping trips. We went up to Monte Cristo and enjoyed the warm weather, and the outdoors. Braxton loves being outside, so that makes camping that much more fun!
We can hardly believe how fast Braxton is growing up. He now has his first two teeth! He is rolling over, and starting to try and crawl. Its easy to see why parents spend so much on clothes for their kids.... he is already growing out of some of his 6-9 month outfits! I am so lucky to have been able to stay at home with him, and feel blessed that I have been there for so many of his exploration moments.
Curt and I have decided that we are going to build another home, this time in Kaysville. It will be ready in about 5-6 months. We are really excited, although sad to leave our home now. It will be a great home, and we look forward to the new adventure.

Things are going great! Curt has started his new job, and although it is a lot of driving he is really enjoying it. He just has to keep reminding himself that he is getting a good experience. I am still at home and absolutely love it! I watch our neighbor's baby 3 days a week. She is only 5 weeks older than Braxton, and can often times be a handful, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. It is hard to remember our life before Braxton, Curt and I love him so much, and enjoy what he brings to our home and family.
There is nothing better than being able to watch Braxton as he grows and learns so much. He started to eat some real food, and wow!!!! That kid come eat! He will end up being a chunk just like his mom was. He ate some cereal and a half a jar of sweet potatoes the first time I gave it to him. He would even start to cry if I didn't get it to him fast enought. He had been doing really well, sleeping 9 hours a night, but over the last couple of weeks he has decided to wake up in the night. Luckily he will eat and be back to sleep in 15 minutes, but still if there are any suggestions I would love to hear them. I think he might be teething to add to the problem. The last two nights he has woken up at random times just screaming. All in all he is doing pretty well.... at least I think so... I have nothing to compare him to.
Thus far we have only gotten out to a few drive in movies, and golfing a few times. However, we look forward to the warm weather, and free time (now that school is over) to be able to enjoy our summer! We hope all is well for everyone! We would love to hear from you!

We celebrated our first mother's day and Curt's birthday by getting a new truck! We are both excited about it, and look forward to having lots of fun and LOTS of room!

Things have been so crazy for all of us lately. Curt has worked hard, and graduated on the 4th of May with his Construction Management degree. He also quit his job, and now works for a larger construction company as a field engineer. He started it on the 14th, and except for the longer commute is excited about the new adventure.
We also went on a vacation up to seattle to visit Joselyn's family. Braxton did wonderful on his first plane ride, and actually slept through just about all of it. It was fun to see his aunts, uncles, and cousins meet him for the first time. It was also his first time swimming, which we aren't sure if he liked or not. We loved being up there and having a chance to visit with everyone.
Curt and I were also able to get away just the two of us to celebrate our 4th anniversary. We went to the Olympic National Park and hiked to some hot springs as well as went to Hurricane Ridge. It was fun to get away, and all things considered I even did okay leaving Braxton overnight (although I'm not too anxious to do it again too soon).
We are looking forward to a fun summer with numerous trips in the planning stage. With neither of us in school and me not pregnant we are looking forward to some fun activities.

We had to take Joselyn to the ER the week before Braxton's blessing. It was nothing serious, but they did find four kidney stones. She has passed two of them, and we hope that the others have dissolved. Thank you for all that have helped through this obstacle

Birth of Braxton

Braxton was born at 2:29 am on January 21st. The labor was only 2 hours; the drive to the hospital was exciting with the snow and contractions every minute and a half. The doctor didn't have enough time to give Joselyn a traditional epidural, but was able to give an alternative to help with the pain. Braxton was 6 lbs. 13 oz, and 19 3/4 in long. He is a beautiful healthy baby!
